The surrounding area:-

We are located in a beautiful rural area of the North Cotswolds, within easy reach of Stratford on Avon, Cheltenham and Oxford, as well as many very local attractions.

There are many footpaths and geocaching sites direct from the park.

Moreton in Marsh itself is located at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley and is a thriving town which dates back 1000 years to the Saxon era.

It has excellent public transport links including direct link to London by rail, as well as being connected to Cheltenham and other towns via local buses.

The High Street is lined with elegant 17th and 18th century buildings and many antique shops, restaurants and pubs.

It is a true market town and Tuesday is market day here.

Nearby attractions include:- Batsford Arboretum, Cotswold Falconry, Bourton House Garden, Sezincote  House and Gardens all of which can be reached by local footpaths for those who enjoy walking.

Just on the outskirts of Moreton, not far down the Woodhills Farm track is the Four Shire Stone marking the old meeting point of four counties - Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire. It is believed this stone was an inspiration for Tolkien's Three Farthing Stone in Lord of the Rings. Further on from here is the village of Chastleton with its historic Chasltleton House- a Jacobean Manor once owned by Robert Catesby one of th original Gunpowder plotters, now owned by the National Trust.
